This is my best value yet, staying true to H.L.L.’s ethos of "delivering interesting, experimental, and excellent-value gear to passionate audio enthusiasts". It delivers performance that rivals flagship models on the market and even trades blows with my Magnetar. While it may not quite match the MAGNETAR’s technicalities or scalability, it more than makes up for it with a significantly lower price and a more natural, beautiful presentation reminiscent of a soft dome. The soundstage is both taller and wider, with laser-sharp imaging, all thanks to the implementation of a 60mm ring radiator driver, a design rarely used but famously employed in the HD800.
